The brief
Pro Helvetia started V/A - Various Artists to connect cultural professionals around the world and share their ideas and work. To reach that crowd, the magazine had to surprise: an artistic design with a lot of motion, still run from the main Pro Helvetia multisite.
What we did
We built it from the design by the agency Hammer, with Staacks on communication. The header generates its own shapes and colours. A custom language switch keeps search engines and load times in mind. Animations and micro-interactions run through the whole site, and the archive has a dynamic filter by category.
How it went
A site like this only works when design and code are tuned together closely, detail by detail. V/A launched in April 2021 and published its final article in December 2023. The site stays online as an archive, run from the same multisite as the other Pro Helvetia sites.
