The brief
Importers, customs brokers and online shops need the right tariff number for every product, and the duty that comes with it. The official EU tools are hard to search and hard to read. We wanted a fast, free place to look a code up.
What we did
Everything. The design, the build and the SEO. Search finds a code by number or by description as you type, and the F key opens it from anywhere.
Each tariff number has its own page with the import duties and trade measures by country, the legal base and the date they started. There is no database behind it: at build time the site turns the EU’s monthly TARIC export into small static files, so pages load fast and the data stays current.
The site runs in English, German and French, with one snapshot per year from 2023 to 2026. That is more than 22,000 code pages per language and year, each one built to rank.
How it went
hscode.info has been live since 2023 and runs on Cloudflare Workers. Because it is ours, it is where we try search and SEO ideas before we suggest them to clients.
